Beautiful location. Saw monkeys on the property, boa constrictors, 2 and 3
toed sloths (with babies), many birds of all kinds within a short walking
distance. Surfed, Kayaked, and rode horses. Hiked across to the Pacific
side. Will definitely return to the OSA.

The locals (gringo locals) and other folk are super friendly and very quick
to help you out in any situation. We had a great time experiencing the many
unique features this corner of the world has to offer.
The short walk to the waterfall is a must! Bring swimsuit for a great
plunge in the pool.
The kayak sunset was a great experience. So peaceful and beautiful on the
ocean with the dolphins.
Mike and his crew also took us fishing. Mike was very nice and I'd highly
recommend his trip.
There is a very nice lizard named Leo who lives on the woodpile in the back.
He lost his tail somehow and Tilda the Toad will wait by the back door to
try to come in for the night. Don't let her in!
The wildlife is extraordinary. Lizards, many birds, 4 kinds of monkeys and
a sloth all seen very close to the property.

If you don't surf...try it. Lessons can be arranged (from Mike) just to the
right of the beach opening below the house. I'm 65 and I totaled 25/30
yards. It worked out to $1.50 per yard, and I would have paid triple for
the experience.
The local eateries in Jimenez (Carolina's and Cafe Luna) were great/clean,
good food/friendly people.
Looking for monkeys is probably a waste of time. Just keep your camera
ready. They will find you.

A great experience! Our 5 days has gone by soooooo fast. So much to see.
We spent a fair amount of time at the beach. Compared to the fresh water
Lake Michigan, where the water temp. never really gets over 68...This was
more like a warm Epson Salt Soak.
We have met Leo the large lizard, however we have renamed him Leonardo. He
lives in the wood pile but loves to sun bathe at the peak of the porch.
The horse ride with Delbert is a must! Not only did we see 3 species of
monkeys, but a Puma..."Yes a Puma!"
We took the collectivo into Puerto Jimenez - great experience. My daughter
loved it and all the locals are some of the nicest people we've ever met.
Enjoyed everything this area has to offer - We'll be back.

The hourse bake ride was the best hourse bake ride ever. I've rode many
hourses and this was the best.
You must stay out at night on the porch. It a great experent.
Don't be afraid of the hermit crabs there harmless little creatures. Just
be careful when you pick up a shell. Look inside to make sure ther nothing
in there.

This is our second trip in 4 months. We stayed next door at Casa Bambu over
New Year's. I'm in love with Matapalo and are planning on returning
regularly.

Dear Rick, Darcy and girls
We were very lucky to meet such wonderful people who were kind enough to
share their beautiful beach home, "Casa Dulce" I only wish we could have
stayed longer. That means we'll have to come back. We'll be in touch via
e-mail. Thanks again for your hospitality.
